The Icon FXD Surf FD Reel is made for long-range surf casting, with 70 FD and 80 FD sizes for braid or monofilament.
Its 10+1 ball bearings and 4.9:1 gear ratio support smooth casting and retrieval, while the 70 FD holds 260 yards of 14lb monofilament, approximately 260m of 0.35mm line.
A slow-oscillation worm shaft lays line onto the spool as you wind, while the titanium-coated line roller helps keep casting smooth. Two tapered aluminium spools, one shallow and one deep, let you carry the amount of mono or braid that suits the location.
The CNC handle has an EVA grip, and the spool carries a rounded aluminium line clip. Black finish covers most of the reel, with gold accents on the spool lip and bail arm.
