Product Information
Shimano designed the Specialist TX Play as a carp rod with a smooth, progressive action for control and feel while playing fish. That action balances finesse and power, and the rod keeps enough backbone to steer powerful fish when needed.
The blank is high modulus full carbon, which makes it light, slim and responsive, and it gives constant feedback throughout the fight. Seaguide Zirconia guides give smooth line delivery, and the rod has a Shimano DPS reel seat and a full shrink tube handle.
It comes in 2.75lb and 3lb test curves, and the finish is a subdued olive green.
