Product Information
For long-range carp fishing, the Okuma LS-8K combines an auto-switch freespool system with a 30mm long-stroke spool. Slow oscillation and worm-shaft transmission lay line more evenly, reducing casting friction for smoother, longer casts.
Oversized gearing and a fast progressive drag sit inside a compact, corrosion-resistant graphite body. The reel also has a machine-cut aluminium spool, machined brass pinion gear, solid aluminium bail wire and a precision zinc handle arm with a wooden handle knob.
This LS-8K has a 5.3:1 ratio, retrieves 123cm per turn and delivers 16kg maximum drag. It weighs 588g, uses five ball bearings plus one roller bearing, and holds 440m of 0.33mm mono, 385m of 0.35mm mono or 320m of 0.38mm mono.
