Gardner Covert Continental Mugga Hooks are carp hooks built around a short curved shank, a longer chemically etched straight point and a 25-degree in-turned micro barb.

The Covert Dark matt finish is intended to reduce glare, while the extra-strong forged, double-tempered high-carbon steel wire provides the strength for demanding fishing. The pattern retains the Mugga shape while adding the darker finish and reinforced wire construction.

This is a barbed hook pattern for carp rigs where a curved shank and aggressive in-turned eye are useful. It comes in a range of ordinary sizes, 10 hooks per packet.

The dark plating is described as an anti-glare camouflage treatment that blends with surrounding light conditions, giving the hook a subdued appearance against darker lake beds.
