Daiwa Basiair X45X Rod
Product Information
Designed and built in the UK, the Daiwa Basiair X45X is a carp rod that combines Daiwa's Magnum Taper profile with X45X Full Shield carbon.
X45X lays 45 degree bi-directional fibres through the whole rod structure for greater torque resistance and higher casting energy conversion. The Magnum Taper gives a responsive tip action for playing fish, with the middle and lower part of the rod made for casting.
The blank uses HVF nanoplus carbon, which reduces the volume of resin and increases the proportion of carbon fibre, with nano size reinforcing fibres in the resin for added strength. V-Joint Alpha eliminates potential flat spots at the joint.
The reel seat is by ALPS and the handle is a hard-wearing Japanese shrink grip.
Six rods form the range. There are 3.25lb and 3.75lb test curves in both 12ft and 13ft, plus a 12ft 4.5lb Spod rod and a 12ft 4.25lb Marker rod. The 12ft models are 2-piece.
