How Does It Hold Up?
The Hero X is solidly built for what it is. At just 75g and 74mm diameter, it's compact and lightweight. The circular design feels sturdy enough and Sonik describe it as fully waterproof, though they don't quote a specific IP rating like you get with Ridgemonkey lights.
You get two mounting options: a magnetic plate for attaching to bivvy fabric, or an elastic loop for banksticks and pod legs. Both work fine, though the magnetic mount isn't as strong as the Ridgemonkey system. It'll stay put in normal use but might come loose if you knock it.
