Product Information
The Shimano Match Aero Reel is a front-drag reel for competition anglers fishing the float or feeder. It sits in the middle of the Aero Match range and carries understated graphics that match Shimano Aero rods.
Its anti-reverse system lets you play fish from the drag with stronger lines or backwind with finer lines.
An XT-7 G Free body houses Hagane Gear, X-Ship and Silent Drive. This gear assembly delivers powerful, long-lasting performance with large feeders and match-sized carp catches. The waterproof front drag runs smoothly, while the cold-forged aluminium AR-C spool improves casting.
A handle screwed directly into the main gear gives a direct feel without handle movement.
Each model has a line reducer that lowers spool capacity for mono or braid, and a round metal line clip supports accurate casting. Shimano makes the reel in 4000 and C5000 sizes.
