Korda Wide Gape X Hooks are a strengthened version of the classic Wide Gape pattern, intended for carp fishing in snaggy UK waters and demanding European conditions.
They retain the short shank, heavily forged bend, slightly in-turned eye and sharp, beaked point, while the thicker X-gauge wire and reinforced point provide a more robust construction for harder fishing.
The aggressive eye angle is designed to help the hook flip over and take hold without requiring extra Kickers or shrink tube.
It can be used with bottom baits, pop-ups and wafters, and the long-lasting point may remain sharp through multiple fish, provided it is checked after each capture and replaced when necessary. Choose micro barbed or barbless in sizes 2, 4, 6 or 8.
