How Well Is This Built?

The Tournament 800 uses aluminium and steel construction throughout. The frame looks the part and it's built to handle serious use (this isn't a box that's going to let you down).

The System 36 legs are properly engineered, 36mm fully extendable telescopic legs that give you genuine stability whether you're on a canal, river, or lake. I've set this up on uneven riverbanks and once it's level, it just doesn't budge.

The 180° rotating locking handwheels are brilliant. You can turn them to get them out the way when packing up, or access them from any angle if your accessories are blocking the normal position. Makes tightening everything up much easier.

The fully retractable moulded footplate is nice and big, gives you a proper working area and keeps your attachments well away from your feet. There's an integrated spirit level to get you 100% level on awkward pegs.

All the legs have threads in the top for leg extensions when you're wading into deeper water. They're also perfect for butt rests when you're feeder fishing or pole socks (proper versatility built in).

Is There Enough Storage?

Can You Fish Comfortably All Day?

The two-tone pole seat is tough, durable, and comfortable. I've sat on this for eight-hour match sessions without my backside complaining. The pole rest in the front is positioned perfectly.

On windy days when you're fishing with the pole between your legs, it houses the butt nicely and makes everything a lot easier.

The 36mm legs give you proper stability. You can get 100% comfortable no matter what venue you're fishing - the spirit level helps you dial it in perfectly on uneven ground. The retractable footplate gives you a big working area.
