The Scientific Anglers Mastery MPX has a weight-forward taper built half a line size heavy to load rods and turn over larger flies. More mass sits at the front of the head for presentation, while the taper retains power with added finesse.
The line is for moderate and cold conditions and works with dry flies, nymphs and streamers. It uses Scientific Anglers’ ST+ slickness additive over a braided multifilament core.
Buckskin/Optic Green comes in weights 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8, with every line measuring 90ft or 27.4m overall. Head lengths run from 34ft to 42ft, and the first 30ft ranges from 130 to 225 grains.
