Product Information

Shimano’s Aldebaran BFS gives left-hand anglers a baitcaster for very light lure work, handling lures from 1g. It is intended for finesse fishing for smaller species such as trout and perch, while offering anglers used to small spinning reels a baitcasting alternative.

FTB braking combines magnets and centrifugal force with an ultra-light MGL III spool. S3D spool design and SilentTune technology add to the casting system, while the external dial lets you alter the brake setting when lure weight or conditions change.

At its lowest setting, brake friction is almost imperceptible.

Micromodule Gear and X-SHIP provide smooth, powerful and efficient winding, and the magnesium and CI4+ HAGANE Body keeps overall weight down. Shimano’s Exciting Drag Sound is fitted for playing fish. HG has a 7.8:1 ratio and XG has an 8.9:1 ratio.
