Product Information
Daiwa's upper-level 21 Tournament Feeder QD targets distance feeder work with thin mono or braid. It uses Daiwa's 25mm spool stroke configuration associated with Castizm and TDR Distance reels, giving this 5000C-size feeder reel a specialist role on larger venues where retrieve speed and line lay influence the whole session.
The shallow LC long-cast spool is designed for feeder fishing where clean line release matters. Magsealed protection, a Zaion body, DS5 Air Rotor and Air Bail give the reel its higher-end frame and rotor package without feeling bulky for repeated casting.
The official 21TNF25QD specification lists a 4.7:1 ratio, 96cm retrieve, seven bearings, 150m of 0.28mm capacity, 455g weight and 12kg drag. Those figures put it firmly in distance feeder territory rather than short commercial work.
Daiwa also includes QD Quick Drag, Tough Digigear, Twistbuster 2, twin HIP line clips and a one-touch folding handle. A spare spool is supplied, which is useful when moving between braid, mono or different feeder distances.
For anglers using longer feeder rods, heavier feeders and clipped-up work on reservoirs, wide rivers and big commercials, the appeal is clean line lay, quick pick-up and controlled drag under pressure. The reel makes most sense where accuracy and line control matter over repeated long casts.
