Drennan Hook Tyer
Product Information
The Drennan Hook Tyer ties spade end hooks down to size 26. A metal clamp holds the hook with its point upwards, while the line passes around the clamp and runs beneath the hook spade. The tool is used by rotating it away from the user to begin the whipping down the hook shank.
After one rotation, changing the line angle begins whipping down the shank. Between ten and fourteen turns, the loose hooklength end wraps around the brass peg on the nose of the tool.
Depressing the clamp and pulling the hooklength tightens the largest loop; unlocking the clamp releases the hook and line. Full user instructions are included.
